VISFF 2012 SUBMISSION FORM
We are now accepting film submissions for the 2012 Vancouver Island Short Film Festival, which will be held at the Malaspina Theatre on the Vancouver Island University’s Nanaimo Campus, Friday April 13th and Saturday April 14th, 2012.
This year, we are accepting films that exceed our usual 10 minute time-limit. We still encourage filmmakers to submit films of various lengths, but this year we will be accepting films up to 12 minutes, including credits.
The deadline for film submissions is February 1st, 2012, with all required forms and the $30 entry fee included in your submission package. We will accept films with resolutions up to 720p as either a MOV file on a DVD (preferred), MiniDV, DVD, or VHS. Filmmakers may submit more than one entry, with separate forms and entry fees attached to each individual entry, but no more than two films will be selected per filmmaker. The filmmakers of selected films will be notified via email, and the shortlist will be available for public viewing on the website as of March 1st, 2012.
Based on the success of last year’s festival, we will also be including the Shorter Pitch for a Short Film Competition to the Saturday, April 14th screening. More details will be posted here on December 1st.
We encourage filmmakers of all experience levels to submit their film and/or pitch entries to the VISFF.
