Over half of the 47 entries of short films came from Vancouver Island filmmakers, as well as 13 from the mainland, 4 entries from across Canada and 3 from Malaysia, Los Angeles and the Czech Republic. “Very strong lineup this year in so many different genres, techniques and storylines. Happy to be a part of this important BC event!” said Selection Committee Member, Terence Fitzgerald.
The selected films will screen Friday, February 12, 2016 at 7pm, followed by a musical performance by Nanaimo’s own Boomshack; Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2pm, followed by a filmmakers’ Q&A; and Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 7pm followed by the awards ceremony.
