14 short films have been selected for the 17th annual Vancouver Island Short Film
Festival (VISFF), streaming live from Nanaimo on April 8th & 9th, 2022.
Chosen by the VISFF Selection Committee from among 123 submissions, the selected
short films include six from Canada and entries from Austria, Germany, Iran, the United Kingdom, and the
United States. VISFF will be screening two programs, each featuring seven short films, with filmmaker
Q&As at intermission and an awards ceremony on the final evening.
“This year’s lineup is diverse, surprising, and memorable, and we’re so excited to be
showcasing these amazing films,” said Festival Director Hilary Eastmure.

VISFF will be screening Program One on Friday, April 8th at 7:00pm PDT, and Program
Two on Saturday, April 9th at 7:00pm PDT. Viewers will be able to watch online from anywhere
in the world. Tickets will be available via www.visff.com and will grant online access to the
recorded screenings for three days following the live events.
