We are thrilled to be returning to a hybrid in-person & online festival for the 18th Annual Vancouver Island Short Film Festival on April 21st & 22nd, 2023, at the Malaspina Theatre in Nanaimo, BC.

The 2023 VISFF will feature 20 outstanding short films from local and international filmmakers scheduled into two programs of ten films each over the Friday and Saturday evenings.

Each program will include a curated selection of ten films and a Q&A session with featured filmmakers. The festival will conclude with The Goldie Awards Ceremony on Saturday evening.

The festival line up will be released in March when our Submission Committee has made their selections!
